Abstract

Rice is the main staple food for Indonesian people. The role of rice as a staple food is not only related to nutritional value and as a source of energy, but also has a relationship in culture, economics and food policy in Indonesia. So the distribution activities of rice farmers' harvests are very important to meet the food needs of the Indonesian people. Rice distribution activities include a series of important processes to mobilize rice from farmers until it finally reaches consumers. This certainly supports the distribution flow of rice farmers' harvests to be effective and optimal. Management of the distribution chain for rice farmers' harvests is one of the Community Service (PkM) programs which aims to improve the performance of the rice distribution chain in Samsam Village by the Bali Land Transportation Polytechnic (Poltrada Bali). This activity uses the method of outreach to rice farmers regarding the management of the distribution chain for rice farmers' harvests. Socialization regarding the effective distribution of rice farmers' harvests was carried out with village heads and the community, especially rice farmers. Efficient and optimal distribution chain management can improve the performance of the rice distribution chain, especially in Samsam Tabanan Village.
