Abstract

Motor vehicles are the main means of transportation in Indonesia, with the number increasing every year. This increase facilitates mobility and boosts economic growth, but also leads to increased air pollution, congestion, and traffic accidents. Unroadworthy vehicle conditions are one of the main causes of traffic accidents, potentially jeopardizing the safety of motorists and other road users. To address this issue, it is important for students and teachers to understand the importance of vehicle roadworthiness, especially tour buses that are often used in study tour activities. This research aims to increase the awareness and understanding of students and teachers about the importance of vehicle roadworthiness through the socialization of “SIAP BERBUS (Tourism Bus Fleet Monitoring Information System)” using the MITRA DARAT application. This activity was carried out at SMA Negeri 2 Denpasar with an interactive counseling method that involved participants in discussions and hands-on simulations. The results of this activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of traffic safety and the use of technology to monitor vehicle eligibility. Participants showed the ability to apply the knowledge gained, so it is expected to reduce the risk of accidents related to study tour activities.
