Abstract

Jatiluwih village,, located in Penebel District, Tabanan Regency, Bali, is renowned for its beautiful terraced rice fields and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The majority of the village's residents rely on the agricultural sector, particularly rice production. However, despite its great potential, MSMEs in this sector face significant challenges, especially in understanding and applying accounting principles. Many rice MSME managers in Jatiluwih village still use traditional methods and have not fully implemented good accounting practices, leading to unclear financial records, difficulties in accessing capital, and obstacles in making sound business decisions. With the advancement of time and increasing competition, effective accounting practices have become crucial for business sustainability and development. Good accounting can help MSMEs manage finances more transparently, improve operational efficiency, and facilitate strategic planning. Furthermore, neat and structured financial records can help MSMEs meet administrative requirements to obtain financing from financial institutions. Therefore, socialization on the introduction of accounting for MSMEs, especially in the rice business sector, is urgently needed. This socialization program aims to provide basic accounting knowledge to MSME managers in Jatiluwih village, enabling them to apply accounting principles in their daily business activities. With increased capacity in financial management, it is hoped that business actors can enhance productivity, optimize profits, and improve the welfare of the village community.
