Abstract

The United Nations transportation resolution that has been signed by more than 100 countries is an important point on the Ministry of Transportation's agenda to reduce the number of accidents in Indonesia. The cause of traffic accidents, one of the biggest elements in the occurrence of accidents on vehicles is the factor of failure of the braking system, especially on uneven roads and the geometry of derivatives or inclines. Through community service activities especially for drivers regarding Counseling on Safety Behavior Driver Braking Procedures on descending roads carried out by the Bali Land Transportation Polytechnic (Poltrada Bali) involving lecturers and cadets, it is hoped that this will increase understanding and awareness of the importance of motorized vehicle braking systems, especially on contours of uphill or downhill roads. This activity is carried out using the mediation method for drivers by providing counseling regarding braking procedures that are actually carried out by drivers which are expected to have an impact on reducing the number of traffic accidents..
